WHY THIS LITTLE SITE EXISTS

About dimlit

A small listening room for the hours when a little background weather feels right.

Dimlit is a one-person project, built for anyone who wants a rain scene and a few simple sound controls without downloading an app or signing up. It is still early, and it is being made one detail at a time.

The rain and storm scenes look through a marked window at a softened city. Campfire steps outside to a small flame beneath the trees. Each scene is drawn in the browser, and its sound is synthesized there too. No recorded audio is needed to start listening.

Small on purpose

There is no account, streak, or required routine. The focus timer is optional. Coins are a small local reward for time spent with the scene, and they can be used for cosmetic changes in the Keepsakes shop. They have no cash value and are not connected to an advertisement.

The aim is to keep the listening area calm and the controls easy to find. The site may eventually carry a small number of clearly separated ads to help pay its hosting costs. Ads are not part of the sound, do not cover the scene, and do not award coins.

Still being worked on

The storm sound is a simple synthesized rumble at this stage, and there are many small visual details left to tune. I would rather describe the current version plainly than promise a finished studio of scenes.
